SERVICE UPDATES 

 

7/2/2012 - The Highway is still closed between Jackson and Barcaldine.  Currently we are diverting to alternate routes via Alpha to Mt Isa and Darwin.  The back log of trailers departed yesterday afternoon and will arrive in Darwin Wednesday (8/2).  Movements have not been delayed on this route for the past 48 hours.  NQX thanks you for your support during these trying times.

3/2/2012 - Please be advised that all freight destined for Mount Isa, Cloncurry and Darwin is currently experiencing some delays due to flooding on the Flinders and Landsborough Highways.  There are also other possible delays due to rising flood waters in Central Queensland and Northern NSW.  Further updates to follow.

28/12/2011 - Due to the recent derailment in the Northern Territory all rail services to and from Darwin have been cancelled.  NQX will post updates as they come to hand. All movements ex Melbourne and Adelaide to Darwin and ex Darwin to Alice Springs, Adelaide and Melbourne will be transferred to road services.  In order to recover the additional costs of these road services a 30% surcharge will be applied to all freight movements on these lanes effective 28 December 2011. This surcharge will be removed once rail services recommence. NQX thanks you for your support during this trying time.

      Rail Services to and from NT and WA: 7.37%

      Changes in fuel prices are monitored and the fuel surcharge will be varied as necessary when required.
